Melbourne Eating Disorder Dietitians
Nutrition therapy for eating disorder recovery, disordered eating, and the complex territory in between.
Recovery that honours where you are.
Reaching out for eating disorder support takes real courage, especially if previous attempts have left you feeling judged, dismissed, or pushed toward goals that didn’t feel right for you.
Our eating disorder dietitians understand that.
We don’t centre weight, impose meal plans without your input, or work from a one-size-fits-all recovery template. We hold space for the full complexity of your experience, including the parts that are hard to name and the parts that feel contradictory.
You don’t need a formal diagnosis.
If your relationship with food or your body is taking up more space in your mind and life than you’d like, that’s enough.
Why work with an Eat Love Live eating disorder dietitian?
Not all dietetic care is eating disorder care. Our dietitians are trained specifically in this work, holding Credentialled Eating Disorder Clinician status. Which means they deeply understand the complexity, the emotional weight food can carry, the non-linear nature of recovery, and why standard nutrition advice may make things worse.
We follow your lead. Always.
Your goals drive the direction. Your pace sets the rhythm. If something isn’t working, you can say so. If you’re struggling more than you’ve let on, you won’t be met with judgement. And we are happy to sit with ambivalence because ambivalence is a completely normal part of recovery.
Good science and our values aren't in conflict here.
Our practice is weight-inclusive, trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, gender-affirming, and grounded in social justice, and it’s evidence-based. We don’t choose between being clinically rigorous and treating you as a whole person.
Weight is never the main goal.
Our dietitians practise from a non-diet, weight-inclusive framework. Weight is never a prescribed treatment goal unless mutually agreed upon. Instead, eating disorder treatment focuses on body autonomy, collaborative goal-setting, clear, evidence-based nutrition guidance, sustainable change and respect for your lived experience.
A note on safe, ethical care
Eating disorder recovery is most effective within a coordinated multidisciplinary team. We work alongside GPs, psychologists and psychiatrists to ensure care is structured and safe.
We require all eating disorder clients to be connected with—or actively working toward connecting with—regular medical monitoring and psychological care.
This structure protects both your safety and your recovery progress. If you’re not yet linked with these practitioners, we can help you understand your options and make referrals where appropriate.

How nutrition counselling sessions work at Eat Love Live
We offer face-to-face consultations at our Collingwood clinic and Telehealth appointments for your convenience and comfort.
Your Initial Assessment
All therapeutic relationships begin with an initial assessment to understand your health history, your relationship with food, your life circumstances, and your goals.
There’s no fixed number of assessment sessions—a thorough picture sometimes takes more than one conversation before moving into planning and strategies.
Please note that the initial assessment fee applies to your first appointment only; subsequent sessions that form part of your assessment are charged at the standard review rate.
After your assessment, your dietitian will spend additional time formulating your care plan, connecting with any existing treatment team members, and completing relevant documentation. This work is reflected in the higher cost of initial appointments.
Review Sessions
Review sessions are where the ongoing work happens—adjusting strategies, tracking progress, troubleshooting what’s not working, and planning what comes next. Your dietitian will discuss the most appropriate review frequency during your initial assessment.
Integrated Care
Where relevant, your dietitian coordinates with your psychologist, physiotherapist, GP, or other practitioners, so your care is coherent and consistent across the team.
Session fees
Sessions are 50 minutes of client-facing time, booked as 60 minutes in the calendar.
That additional time is when your clinician writes notes, liaises with your care team, and prepares for future sessions.
Dietitian Initial assessment – $255
Dietitian Standard Review – $240
Early Career Dietitian Initial assessment – $240
Early Career Dietitian Standard Review – $225
