Social media has a much bigger impact on us than we realise. Scrolling through Facebook and Instagram being bombarded with images of bikini bodies, green smoothies and dietary commentary can trigger guilt, shame and insecurity.
When trying to build a healthier relationship with our body and food this can be very undermining!
Social Media can be full of positive, like-minded people to help make you feel better!
It may be time to look objectively at what you are scrolling thru – unfollow anyone who is making you feel bad about yourself and perhaps add some of the suggestions below.
I have put in websites you can have a look at and most (if not all) will have a Facebook, Instagram, twitter account you can choose to follow if you like what you see.
Another great way to find like-minded and inspirational pages to follow is that when you find a page you like who are they following and who is following them!
This is by no means an exhaustive list – please share other helpful organisations and people you find.
