Paediatric Dietitian Services: Melbourne And Online
Feeding support for children, young people, and families delivered with compassion, practicality, and care.
Nurturing growing bodies and developing minds to build confidence with food and eating.
Eating and nutrition are rarely straightforward for children, and they are certainly not one-size-fits-all.
At Eat Love Live, we provide paediatric dietetic support that is client-centred, family-inclusive, and grounded in a deep respect for every child’s unique needs, identity, and pace.
Whether you’re navigating extreme food selectivity, supporting a child through eating disorder recovery, or simply trying to make mealtimes feel less stressful—we’re here for the long haul, without judgement, and without pressure.
We offer both in-person appointments in Collingwood and telehealth paediatric dietitian services for families across Melbourne and beyond.

How Paediatric Dietitian Sessions Work at Eat Love Live
Sessions are available in person in Collingwood or via telehealth — whichever works best for your family.
Your Child’s Initial Assessment
All therapeutic relationships begin with an initial assessment that allows us to understand your child fully and prepare a thoughtful support plan.
There’s no fixed number of assessment sessions—a thorough picture sometimes takes more than one conversation before moving into planning and strategies. Please note that the initial assessment fee applies to your first appointment only; subsequent sessions that form part of your child’s assessment are charged at the standard review rate.
After your assessment, your paediatric dietitian will spend additional time formulating your care plan, connecting with any existing treatment team members, and completing relevant documentation. This work is reflected in the higher cost of initial appointments.
Review Sessions
Progress in paediatric feeding is rarely linear. Your ongoing sessions provide space to adjust strategies, celebrate small wins, and revisit what’s working. We follow your child’s pace — always.
Integrated Care
Where relevant, your dietitian will coordinate with your OT, speech pathologist, psychologist, physiotherapist, GP, or other practitioners, so your care is coherent and consistent across the team.
Session fees
Sessions are 50 minutes of client-facing time, booked as 60 minutes in the calendar.
That additional time is when your clinician writes notes, liaises with your care team, and prepares for future sessions.
Dietitian Initial assessment – $255
Dietitian Standard Review – $240
We do not bulk bill. A gap payment applies to all Medicare and NDIS sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions
You might be wondering...
Does my child need a referral to see a paediatric dietitian?
You don’t need a referral to book directly with us. However, if you’d like to access Medicare rebates, you’ll need a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP) or Eating Disorder Management Plan (EDMP).
How does the session structure work?
Sessions are 50 minutes of direct time with your clinician, booked as a 60-minute appointment. The additional time covers care coordination and documentation that happens on your behalf. For full details on fees, rebates, and how sessions work, visit our Fees & Policies page.
Who comes to the sessions? Can my child also attend or is it parents only?
We can’t wait to meet your little one, and we understand how hard it can be as a parent to discuss all your concerns about a child’s eating and health with them in the room so we encourage parents to attend the first session alone.
There are some ages and feeding concerns where support happens with caregivers and parents, and not necessarily with the small person.
In saying that if your child is enthusiastic and engaged in their health care sessions, then they are welcome to attend the session.
