About Jamie

Jamie is a warm and compassionate dietitian who enjoys supporting people to build a more trusting and compassionate relationship with food and their body. She has a special interest in eating disorders, disordered eating, food and body distress, and neuro-affirming care. She is passionate about helping people find ways of nourishing themselves that feels flexible, sustainable and right for them.

Jamie recognises that everyone’s relationship with food is shaped by their unique experiences, including their history, culture, identity and the messages they have received throughout their lives. Through her work as an eating disorder dietitian, she has seen the impact that weight stigma and diet culture can have on people’s experiences with food, their bodies and healthcare.
Jamie uses a weight-inclusive and trauma-informed approach, creating a space where people feel safe, respected and accepted. She believes everyone’s story, strengths and lived experiences deserve to be valued, and that all bodies and identities are worthy of compassionate care.

Jamie’s approach is grounded in evidence-based nutrition, collaboration and a genuine curiosity about each person’s individual experience. She enjoys working alongside people to understand what matters most to them and supporting them to move towards greater trust, confidence and compassion in their relationship with food and their body.

Jamie is committed to ongoing learning, reflection and professional development, ensuring she continues to provide care that is inclusive, thoughtful and responsive to the people she supports.

Outside of work, Jamie enjoys walks in nature, connecting with friends and family, mindful activities, and making the most of what Melbourne has to offer through the arts and entertainment, including shows and live music.
