MOVEMENT CLASSES

Wanting to explore movement in a safe, inclusive and judgement free space? Experience movement the Eat Love Live way minus diet talk and mirrors!

Our physio-led movement classes are designed to allow participants to explore movement in a non-judgemental and supportive environment, with all bodies and ability levels welcome. 

Classes are 45 minutes in length and incorporate pilates, stretching and strengthening (using body weight or resistance bands).

Move your body your way
  • There will regular pauses where you will be guided to check in with your body and mind, using those cues to decide how you choose to move or rest
  • You'll have full permission during classes to sit on the couches, use fidget toys, take as many rest breaks as you need or simply come and lie on a mat for the whole class to get used to being in a movement space
  • There will be a variety of options provided for all movements so that you can choose the level that is right for you

WHEN DO CLASSES RUN?

Our movement classes will take place in the group room at Eat Love Live (learn more about our location  here).

Classes run on Monday night (5:00pm -5:45pm) and Friday morning (10:00am - 10:45am) on the following dates in 2024:

  • Monday - 4th March, no class 11th March due to public holiday, 18th March, 25th March, no class 1st April due to public holiday, 8th April, 15th April, 22nd April, 29th April, 6th May, 13th May, 20th May, 20th May, 27th May
  • Friday - 8th March, 15th March, 22nd March, no class 29th March due to public holiday, 5th April, 12th April, 19th April, 26th April, 3rd May, 10th May, 17th May, 24th May, 31st May
  • Dates beyond May 2024 TBC

COSTS & PAYMENT

FEES

Each class costs $40 to attend (maximum of 8 people per class).

There are no terms or recurring costs, simply pay per class!

* Please note: Medicare and private health rebates are unavailable for classes. No concession or health care card rates apply.
PAYMENT 
Eat Love Live requires that credit card details for all class participants be saved in our secure online payment system, Tyro Health. If you are not a current Eat Love Live client, you will be sent an SMS link prior to your first class to upload your details. Reception will charge the credit card stored once your class has taken place. Monday classes are billed the following Tuesday morning, while Friday classes are billed the same day. 
CANCELLATION POLICY

If you need to reschedule or cancel a class you have booked, you can do so the following ways:

We appreciate that illness and other things come up unexpectedly in life, however it's important to communicate this with our reception team. If you need to cancel or reschedule your class at short notice, we have a strict policy in place. 

The full fee of the booked classes will be charged as a cancellation fee when: 

  • Less than 24 hours notice is given
  • If you fail to attend the class

​If you are unsure you will be well enough to attend due to illness, we recommend you reschedule with more notice to avoid being charged a cancellation fee.

HOW CAN I BOOK A CLASS?

Movement classes can be booked online using Rebecca's online booking link. Simply:

  • Select 'Group sessions'
  • Select 'Physio Movement Class'
  • Select the Monday or Friday date/time of your choice in the calendar 
  • Enter your details to complete the booking

Meet Rebecca Gawler, a physiotherapist who provides compassionate, inclusive, weight-neutral and trauma informed care to clients at Eat Love Live!

She acknowledges the complex relationship many people have with their bodies and movement and recognises that all parts of a person (including neurodiversity, gender identity and body size) can impact how individuals engage in society, healthcare and movement.

Bec has a strong passion for supporting those with eating disorders in the recovery process and assisting her clients to overcome a wide range of injuries/pain/illness using a mix of education, manual therapies and exercise.
