Eat Love Live is a dynamic and inclusive organization with values based in social justice. We are a team of health professionals providing support to a wide range of people, for a wide range of conditions; specialising in mental health and eating disorders.
We aim to provide a validating experience for all clients, be truly client centered and collaborative. We are fat positive, gender affirming and neurodivergent affirming in our approach and clinically we work from a weight inclusive, HAES informed framework.
Our practice is grounded in systemic thinking and family/support-inclusive approaches. We support individuals and families of all constellations and variations) across all stages of life, recognising that meaningful recovery from eating disorders occurs when the whole system around the person is engaged and supported.
We are based in Collingwood providing face to face support and across Australia providing telehealth support.
Eat Love Live is an organization that provides a space for like minded clinicians to work as part of a team with the autonomy and flexibility to set your own days, work hours and day structure; working under your own ABN and Medicare Provider Number.
Eat Love Live includes administration/reception support, referral generation, clinical guidance and mentoring and an opportunity for team connection. We are looking for a minimum of 2 days engagement.
Ideal for clinicians thinking of working for themselves but wanting to avoid the hassle of starting from scratch and ongoing admin.
Who are we looking for:
We are looking for an experienced Eating Disorder Credentialed Clinical Psychologist; or specialised Occupational Therapist or social worker eligible for clients to claim under the Medicare Eating Disorders care plan, to join our team.
We are seeking applicants whose own values strongly align with Eat Love Live’s. We welcome applicants with extensive experience of supporting individuals with disordered eating and eating disorders and co morbid presentations across the age spectrum.
We welcome experience supporting clients from a range of diverse and marginalized backgrounds such as the LGBTQIA+ communities, Neurodiverse, higher weight bodied, BIPOC among others.
Training in evidence based eating disorder is essential as is the professional experience underpinning clinician confidence to pivot in response to the individual client formulation.
We welcome applicants with lived experience in the above, mental health and wider experiences.
Essential Criteria
AHPRA Registration
Full, unrestricted registration as a Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA. Demonstrated adhere to professional, legal, and ethical standards in clinical practice.
Eligibility for Eating Disorder Credential
Must meet the criteria for, or currently hold, the ANZAED Eating Disorder Credential. Demonstrated training and experience in evidence-based eating disorder interventions such as CBT-E, FBT, SSCM, or ACT for eating disorders.
Significant Experience in Eating Disorder Care
Proven experience providing psychological support to individuals with eating disorders and related mental health presentations across the lifespan. Open to psychologists setting their own age limits of who they prefer to see.( Please note that Eat Love Live provides support to clients 1 year and above). Capacity to work flexibly and adapt treatment to meet diverse client needs and presentations.
Commitment to HAES®, Weight-Inclusive and Social Justice-Oriented Practice
Strong understanding of, and commitment to, weight-inclusive, trauma-informed, gender-affirming, neurodivergent-affirming, and culturally safe approaches. Alignment with Eat Love Live’s values and dedication to working with marginalized communities within the private sector.
Highly Developed Counselling and Clinical Skills
Demonstrated ability to build safe, collaborative, and validating therapeutic relationships. Skilled in assessment, formulation, intervention, and evaluation of outcomes within evidence-based frameworks.
Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to provide clear and timely feedback to referring doctors and multidisciplinary teams. Able to document sessions accurately and maintain high clinical standards.
Ability to Work as Part of a Multidisciplinary Team
Demonstrated experience respecting and embracing the varied roles of the multi disciplinary care team. Including working collaboratively with dietitians, GPs, psychiatrists, and other allied health professionals to deliver integrated, person-centered care. Values communication, respect, and teamwork to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
Organizational and Time Management Skills
Demonstrated ability to manage clinical load, maintain timely notes, and meet professional and administrative deadlines while working autonomously in a private practice environment.
Technological Competence
Proficiency in using digital practice management systems (Cliniko), secure telehealth platforms, and Microsoft Office or equivalent. Must have access to a reliable computer and internet connection for telehealth work when appropriate to work from home.
Professional Indemnity Insurance and Required Clearances
Current Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance, Working with Children Check, and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).

Registered or Clinical Psychologist with a minimum of 4 years post-registration experience
