Emma Grunwald (APD)

She/Her
Accredited Practicing Dietitian
BNutrSc, MDiet

As a compassionate and client-centred Dietitian, Emma brings a warm, grounded, and collaborative approach to nutrition care. With a background in allied health assistance, education support, sports development and psychology practice environments, she is passionate about the intersection between nutrition, mental health and overall wellbeing.

As an early-career Dietitian, Emma is highly motivated, energetic, and committed to delivering thoughtful, evidence-informed care. She has particular interests in building positive relationships with food, disordered eating and eating disorders, neurodiversity-affirming practice, sports nutrition, and developing sustainable nutrition strategies that honour each client’s individual goals, values, and circumstances. She is dedicated to providing respectful, trauma-informed, weight-inclusive support and strives to create a safe space where clients feel heard, validated, and genuinely supported throughout their journey.

Prior to becoming a Dietitian, Emma worked extensively as an Allied Health Assistant across hospital and community settings, supporting teams in dietetics, physiotherapy, and psychology. This diverse experience shapes her holistic lens and strengthens her ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Emma maintains a strong commitment to professional growth and engages in ongoing supervision and training to deepen her expertise in eating disorder care, neurodiversity, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed practice. She is passionate about empowering clients to build confidence with food, reconnect with internal cues, and develop flexible routines that support both health and quality of life.

Clients and colleagues describe Emma as zestful, approachable, highly organised, and deeply invested in supporting people to achieve meaningful, lasting change.

Outside of work, Emma loves exploring Gippsland’s rail trails, trying new foods, and adventuring with her partner, and two much-loved pups.
