Christie talked about a novel and successful model education - bringing lived experience narratives into the learning space as a way of helping nursing and dietetic students understand eating disorders and compassionate care. |
A highlight was a Keynote Presentation: “A catalyst for change: the opportunity of Lived Experience leadership and transformation” by Katie Larsen of Mind.
Katie Larsen is Executive Director Lived Experience at Mind Australia and a PhD candidate at Deakin University. She leads systemic change through lived experience leadership, co-production, and equity. With a background in journalism and social work, Katie brings a strong social justice lens informed by her mental health and LGBTIQ+ lived experience.
Katie invited the Eating disorder to reflect on current practice and listen to the consumers we are supporting.
